In 2018, I spent a month in Italy, completely immersing myself in the beauty, culture, and slow, intentional way of life. That trip wasn’t just an adventure—it was the spark of something much bigger. I left with a deep sense of curiosity, a need to understand more about the country that had stolen my heart. What started as a love for Italian food, wine, and history quickly became a personal quest to forge a real connection to Italy that extended beyond being a visitor.
Fast forward to 2023, when that journey led me to the small, breathtaking town of Gangi, Sicily. Nestled in the hills of this historic region is Tenuta San Giami, the winery that produces the Grillo and Nerello Mascalese for Lisa By Lisa Ann. Stepping onto that vineyard for the first time was surreal. I had the opportunity to see firsthand where the grapes were grown, to meet the people who craft each bottle with care, and to walk the land that now holds such deep meaning to me—it was a full-circle moment I could never have imagined back in 2018.
Wine has always been more than just a drink to me; it’s an experience, a story in every glass. With Lisa By Lisa Ann, I wanted to create something special—wines that reflect the passion and craftsmanship of the incredible winemakers at Tenuta San Giami while capturing my love affair with Italy. The Grillo is crisp, refreshing, and perfect for a long, slow afternoon in the sun, while the Nerello Mascalese is rich, layered, and made for those moments of deep conversation and connection.
Every bottle represents a piece of my journey—one that began with a simple trip and evolved into something so much more. I can’t wait to continue growing this connection to Italy, Sicily, and the people who have welcomed me into their winemaking world.
